Still Corners
Cuckoo is the latest single from London-based Still Corners, and their first release on Sub Pop … and we can’t stop listening to it.
Softly stirring with undulating keys and soporific drums, Cuckoo evokes a dream-like state that exists somewhere between sleep and wake.
This is dream pop at it’s most ethereal. Where the air thins and you can no longer distinguish the real from the imagined. When singer Tessa Murray sings ‘It’s like we’re going cuckoo, me and you’, it becomes everyone’s story. Filmic and dream-like, it allows us to colour the narrative to fit with our own. Those lost hours. That lost love. Being haunted by hindsight. Cuckoo becomes a soundtrack for us all.
Go make it your own..
