The fourteenth season of one of the most loved cricketing events in the world, the Indian Premier League (IPL), is scheduled to be played between 9 April to 30 May 2021 across six different venues in India. Every year, the best performers in each category, like batting, bowling, etc are rewarded with caps of different colors. One such award is the Orange cap, given to the leading run-scorer of the season.

1. KL Rahul:
KL Rahul was the leading run-scorer in IPL 2020 with 670 runs in 14 games. He hit 5 half-centuries and one century in the tournament. He will be looking to lead the team to its maiden victory and is more likely to win the cap.
3. David Warner:
David Warner, the captain of Sun Risers Hyderabad, had a good season in the UAE and will be looking to stamp his authority this year as well. Warner is the only batsman in the history of the Indian Premier League to have won the coveted orange cap three times, making him an obvious choice as one of the top contenders for the Orange Cap this season.
4.Rohit Sharma:
Loaded with talent and doing justice as the captain of one of the best teams in the IPL, Rohit Sharma, was instrumental in Mumbai Indians winning five titles. Rohit Sharma bats as an opener for Mumbai Indians, making it easy for him to score big runs. Although he has not won the orange cap as of yet, a magnificent batsman like him is bound to perform well. Considering his amazing timing with the bat, he might bag his first orange cap this season.
5. Ishan Kishan:
In IPL 2020, Ishan Kishan emerged as a commendable batsman to look out for. The Mumbai Indian’s wicket-keeper smashed 516 runs in 14 games, at an average strike rate of 145+. He also hit the highest number of 30 sixes in the tournament. He hit 4 half-centuries with one knock of 99 runs. Ishan Kishan was the 5th most leading run-scorer in IPL 2020.
